Behind Haven
After becoming a mother, everything shifted.
I stopped chasing what looked right and started building what felt right.
Everything began with a leap. I left home, carrying my dreams and stepping into the unknown.
I moved to the UK to complete my Master’s in Banking and Finance, carrying 23 kilograms of luggage and a quiet determination to build an independent life for myself. Later, I completed a marketing course, not knowing it would eventually open a completely different door.
Then I became a mother, and everything shifted.
My ambitions didn’t disappear, but they changed direction. The idea of climbing the corporate ladder while someone else handled breakfast club and after-school pickups no longer felt right. I wanted to build something that allowed me to grow, achieve, and still be fully present for my daughter.
I tried to make the traditional path work. I really did. For a year and a half, I gave it everything. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t the life I wanted.
There were a few side ventures along the way. Some worked, some didn’t. But each one taught me something valuable and eventually led me to Haven Designs.
Today, I design websites that help entrepreneurs and small business owners, especially mums building their business, showcase their brand, connect with clients, and grow with confidence. Each website is purposeful, beautiful, and a true reflection of the person behind it.
